One of the most stunningly situated of Roseland properties, Froe House is perched on a rocky promontory at the head of Froe creek which leads into the sailing haven of the Carrick Roads . The house faces to the west over the creek and south over the millpool with unspoilt National Trust land abutting the pool. The lovely Towan beach is only a short walk away and quiet woodland walks around the creeks lie nearby. This yachtsman's paradise has over 600ft of direct water frontage with its own pontoon, boats can be hired locally. The house itself, a miller's house of Georgian origin, has been beautifully and imaginatively restored with a modern interior whilst at the same time retaining its traditional external appearance. In addition to the main house, a short distance away and completely self contained, there is a traditional cottage, sleeping 8; which also overlooks the creek with a charming garden in the foreground.

Main House
Approached over the garden terrace, via a prettily planted courtyard, the hall area of the main house has natural slate floors with solid oak benches and plenty of coat hooks. A fantastic modern chandelier , together with antique furniture are features of this space, which has an adjacent cloakroom with W.C. and slate sink. Kitchen : In a contemporary style this is fully equipped with high gloss units with a black granite work surface and stone floor, Miele microwave, Ceramic hob & oven, Siemens stainless steel American style freezer with ice maker , together with an island unit containing a wine cooler, sink and two dishwashers. A full length fully retractable sliding glass door gives access onto the slate terrace, which has wonderful open views down the creek and over the millpool. Adjacent to the kitchen is a compact Utility room with Belfast sink, washing machine, dryer and storage. Dining Area : Open plan , leading off the kitchen with further stunning views through the French Doors , with an oak dining table to seat 10, on a combination of modern chairs and solid wooden benches. Also in this room is a large woodburner flanked by a pair of antique leather chairs, with contemporary artwork on the walls. Sitting Room : Accessed from the kitchen diner via a sliding door past an open tread oak staircase, the stylishly furnished sitting room also has lovely views. The Cottage
In contrast to the main house is this more traditionally styled cottage, with a delightful garden terrace overlooking the creek where one can relax on a variety of chairs and benches surrounded by cottage style planting. A traditional glazed porch leads inside to a long open plan room lit by large deep windows, with a football table and bench at one end and an enormous squashy sofa and chair in the centre. A built in entertainment centre and woodburner form the focus of this area. Steps down into the kitchen dining area with a round oak table and contemporary chairs. Fitted white polished wall units with natural stone work surface, a Siemens washerdryer, dishwasher , oven , sink and fridge with icebox. Door from kitchen area leading to garden and terrace. Upstairs Separate stairs from kitchen area leading to Bedroom 1 Painted wooden floor, exposed beamed vaulted ceiling. Built in cupboard and distressed painted wardrobe. Double traditional style iron bedstead and two windows, one overlooking creek. En suite shower room with large walk in shower, WC, ladder towel rail, slate basin. Bedroom 2 : Off the ground floor, a small bedroom with double bed. Antique cupboard, window over creek. Also on the ground floor - Cloakroom with WC and basin. Wooden painted stairs lead to landing with roof light and Bedroom 3 : Twin bedded, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, chest of drawers, bedside table and view of creek. Garden The entrance to both houses is through a lovely landscaped garden with slate paths and sitting areas. This area is elevated and overlooks the creek to the west. Lawned lower levels run parallel to the creek , with a newly planted orchard and plenty of sheltered spots to relax. The main house has extensive slate terraces on two sides, one with a large slate table for alfresco dining. Unmatched views over the creek and millpool are particularly beautiful during the evening - a haven for wildlife where you can spot wading birds and otters. The surrounding water is accessed by steps and a private pontoon.

Due to the setting of Froe house and the proximity to the water children will need to be supervised at all times.

Parking The houses are approached via a large landscaped parking area with ample space cars and boats/trailers.Heating & Electricity Full central heating and electricity included in the rent. Linen & towels are provided and the beds made up ready for your arrival.

Damage Deposit
Due to the high standard of this property the owner requires us to collect a fully returnable deposit of £500 against damage or undue wear and tear.
